Wood-fueled car The gases are condensed in liquid form and introduced into the carburetor. The condensed liquid hydrocarbons would form a fuel of relatively high volatility that would be sufficient to run the gasoline engine.

  1. Popular for some time in and after WWII with gas shortage.

    Bus with wood-gas installation (on trailer) in occupied Kraków, 1943. It was a pre war localy manufactured Chevrolet EFD 183 chassis with body made in "Bielany" industrial plant, often called Chevrolet Bielany.
