Easy cheetah... they are indeed repops, as is mentioned in the article I link to, but they are conversationally the recall wheels. Lets not get upset about stupid shit, we're not concours monkeys talking about Corvettes at the Bloomington inspection, with ties on, in suits. This is nothing more than a look at what the 69 R/T looks like with the recall wheels.
I have a set on my 1969 B-body wagon (big motor, 4-speed) and whenever I hear some variation of "awesome recall wheels" or "nice W23's" I know I am talking with a legit MOPAR nerd.
a 69 wagon... with the recall rims? I'd love to see what that looks like! Are there photos online that you can link me to? Oh, by the way, I wonder how I rank in your Mopar Nerd stats... on a scale of 1 to 10?
Haha, you are an easy 11 on the MOPAR nerd scale. And a 9.5 on the Navy vet-o-meter. 1969 Plymouth Sport Satellite Sport Wagon (really, they doubled up on the "Sport" emblems). 426 Hemi, 4-speed, a/c, fake wood. Btw, your blog is a daily stop for me, always interesting stuff to enjoy. Thanks! If this Facebook link works, here's some pics. (album is set for "public", feel free to use anything you see) https://www.facebook.com/rokonworld/media_set?set=a.10209273869104452&type=3
Those are not 1968/1969 "recall" wheels. Those are remanufactured wheels. The originals used a trim ring.
