My kid made one of these out of a cardboard box and a skateboard. That's about as minimalist as you can get, and shows how austere things still were in post ware Europe. The speedometer in the coffee can is a nice touch though.
ReplyDeleteain't that a hoot! I'm used to seeing coffee cans under the hood, though I can't recall what car, I think it was GMs, or Fords, and some part of a vacuum system
DeleteI've long thought that the steering column boss on 70s Chrysler Valients from Australia looks like a baked bean tin.

Looks like a version of a (Stan Mott) Cyclops! https://www.conceptcarz.com/z21296/Cyclops-II.aspx
ReplyDeleteYeah, I prefer when someone mistakes me for not knowing something everyone knows, and sends me a link to explain it? To look and see if I actually am unaware of that reference. Quite contrary https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-u0mq9pBpcOg/WiuS8dSjPVI/AAAAAAAE5zg/z_1gRMSFZFw1TehH8KpDVvqgAOsUN2yawCLcBGAs/s640/08mryxms.jpg and https://justacarguy.blogspot.com/search?q=stan+mott
DeleteNext time, don't rub my nose in your opinion that I'm ignorant.
After all, I'm not on the internet implying you're ignorant, and I'd like that same level of respect in return.
Am I asking too much?
I am sorry if I offended you. I was taken by the similarities to the Cyclops and thought it was cool. I added the link for anyone who might not have been aware of the Stan Mott Cyclops. I did not mean any offense.
DeleteDiz & Jesse, Thanks for the links. I got to try out my high school french, and failed, had to have it translated ;+>.....
ReplyDeletelol, I understand, my sister took a couple years of french in high school, and then about 5 years passed before she unexpectedly found herself in Paris, not being able to remember much of that language at all.
